Transfer Tardiness

Well, it looks as though Worthy's tactic of sitting on his hands during the early summer has come back to haunt him (and us) once again.

Even before the sale of Jonson our squad was looking threadbare. Now he is bemoaning the fact he is having difficulty signing anyone of quality. Bit late for that Nigel, you should have started signing players in May like our friends at Palace, Sheff Utd and Leicester.

The fact is that he is looking to sign players when most teams have bought, sold, let go of most of their playing staff and are quite happy with their squads at this stage. Its called forward planning.
