and unproven, i pointed out that that is exactly what they did with Horseface, so that's possibly not a reason for them not buying Ashton, particularly as Ashton has proven himself in the Premier league already.

you also seemed to think that because Horseface was successful in the Dutch top division he had somehow proved himself capable of cutting it in the Premier League, i then pointed out that just because a player is successful in another European top league it does not follow that they will be successful in the Premier League

therefore your beliefs about why Man Ure would not buy Ashton are unfounded
