I suppose the era of the bands you're talking about is before my time

and I might have embraced him better if I went through it

I think when the industry tries to preach to the next generation about someone, he didn't do himself many favours in being remembered for his achievements

I think some of the radio programmes he was on, the stations thought he would appeal to his fans, and realised the younger generation were listening and the things they liked were being scrutinised and questioned, and were left thinking "who is this crackpot anyway?", and like me switched off
