Incidentally, post below suggesting McVeigh is to be

taken off the transfer list - unutterably depressing if true, and the final sign that we're now going backwards again.

Nothing about PMcV has changed (and I've got nothing against the little fella). But at the start of the summer, he wasn't good enough for us.

6 weeks on, and our midfield is in tatters. We've got rid of Bentley, Jonson, Holt and Mulryne. Francis is still likely to go. And we've brought in Jason Jarrett.

Oh, and we're struggling to persuade Reading to hand over Andy Hughes.

So suddenly McVeigh turns out to be good enough after all. The bit to look forward to is when the club say it's all because 'he's had a great pre-season'. Yeah right.
