streets ahead of the likes of hughes. he actually is a very good ball player. just tries tooo much if you ask me. Doesnt always do the simple thing because he is trying to impress so much when ever he gets a chance. He reminds me very much of mulryne in that his biggest downfall as a midfielder at a high level is that he isn't athletic enough.

I don't but this whole 'nice guy hughes' business. he just seemed like a northern thug who was always up for a fight! even when he had an ok game, he'd always have a little five minutes of madness when he would just hoof it around as hard as he could or play suicide games near the byline against a far superior opponent!
