NORWICH and Ipswich are battling for the signature of West Brom midfielder Darren Carter.

The 23-year-old joined the Baggies from rivals Birmingham for £1million two years ago.

But he does not figure in boss Tony Mowbray’s plans and only has a year to run on his contract.
