I hate Bowyer with a passion, but last season he did a bad foul on Alonso, but it was hardly a red, and suddenly Gerrard's straight in the refs face and Crouch is going after Bowyer pushing him to the floor

The ref bought it and sent Bowyer off

It was just a yellow card
