no they new they had a bomb

just thought they would have time to get away but when they set the timer there was no timer and they blew up how else do you explain:

a) They had paid for their parking in Luton
b) They had all bought return tickets
c) They had the bombs in bags so they could be left behind. History tells us that suicide bombers tend to strap the bombs to their body.
