This might seem really insufficient but...

Based on what I've seen so far this season I really haven't a clue. I tend to be quite optimistic at this point but the last couple of seasons have really lowered my expectations!

I think we've bought some excellent players - we're certainly a lot stronger in central midfield, and it's nice to have some other options than relying on hux (e.g. chadwick - crofty looked quite bright on fri as well, I reckon he knows he's got competition!)

Up front - nice to have some more options up front, although they're all unknown quantities to an extent. Cureton would be the one person you'd expect to be scoring this season but he's looked fairly quiet so far. Dave looked good against arnhem when he got the ball at his feet and was unlucky not to score near the end. Hopefully they'll both improve with games, but it's hard to tell right now.

At the back - no change really, still soft at CB although Otsemobor looks excellent.

Guess I'd put us in with a shout of playoffs, there's certainly the nucleus of a good team there, I'm hoping they'll gel like worthy's first team did.

Sorry that's a bit of a cop-out answer - hopefully the next couple of weeks will tell more.
