You'd have to do it laying down, and fire a nail gun directly up in the air

then drop the nail gun and put your hand out flat before the nail came back down, hopefully point down, with sufficient velocity to punture both your hand and the cross.

And even then you'd be flat on your back and would need assistance to get the cross vertical.

There's a few too many undefined variables in that whole scenario, I just don't think it's very likely.
