My thoughts

If Malky can do a job in Div 1 then Doherty and Charlton can do the same at the back for us. Would like to see another Right Back just to add some depth to. Personally I think Worthy will start with Fleming and Shackell, can see Fleming turning into a bit of a Holt this season, with all of us being able to see he is the weak link but with Worthy continue to play him. Boro have a couple of young RB. McMahon I think, maybe a loan move for him for the season.

Yes we let in a lot of goals last year but, with the exception of Fulham we had improved dramatically towards the end of the season. The defence we have now, I feel is better than the one that ended our Championship winning year.

Think we could do with a couple of additions to the midfield, Koumas, Hughes, Partridge, Commons etc have all been mentionned and could do a job for us. Personally I'd like to see Bentley back, reckon he could piss on Div One defences, where he'd have more space to exploit. Kevin Cooper also maybe?

Up front I think we're the best in the division, certainly wouldn't take anyone in this division over Ashton, and Leon seems to be the perfect foil for him, add in Hucks and Thorne, plus Jarvis and Henderson and we've got enough strength there to be going on with. We've even got Doherty if we get desperate and he is capable of doing a Iwan type job if that is what is needed.

I know we are down on numbers from last season, but we're not exactly flush with cash this year and I got the feeling that Worthy rushed a few signings last summer just for the sake of having a big enough squad to get through the unknown of the transfer window shutting.
