Re: the Safri affair

I think most Norwich fans will be with me on this one when I say a big well done to Peter Grant for speaking his mind and refusing to play someone who does not want to play for our football club.

Saf has been a good, not great, player since he arrived. He sat out the majority of the Premiership season, and in the two seasons since has always been troubled by groin strains, niggles, and African Nations duty. Central Midfield is a position where you want your main main to lay 40+ games a season. I get the feeling that might happen with Russell, not Safri.

Clearly, Saf isn't happy here for whatever reason. That is his prerogative. He can probably get a better contract abroad or at another Championship club. You can hardly blame him for feeling his time at Carrow Road has been unsuccessful. However, Grant is 100% right in telling him he can't play for our club again, and saying he will not be held to ransom.

Well done Granty, your honesty is admirable.
