You kind of forget how backward some office people are, because you've worked

in the same environment for years, but

I went to gig to see the support band last week, and the main band although signed, worked at Norwich Union for years, and so is well known to a few of the York branch

I didn't know this but could sense some work night out invading fibbers (people knowing each other, only talking about work, awkward conversations about some poster on the wall blatently admitting either of you have nothing in common)

Then the support band came on and the girl singing, did look a bit like a boy. One lad who looked about 13, had dyed blond hair from diguising his ginger hair had the nerve to take the piss. It's that exact cockyness that made me think "you lot must work in offices, you're all socially retarded"

Obvious giveaway to divs that don' t like music, at gigs, is they talk all the way through support acts then scream, cheer and call out way too often when the main band is on

Needless to say with all this I managed about 4 songs of the main band before walking leaving, and just thought "I'll give them a chance if I ever see them with a normal crowd in"
