prayer doesn't work without faith

and if you want to test the effectiveness of prayer then you obviously do not have enough faith and the prayer will not work.

the best way to test this sort of thing would be to bug churches around the world to identify the names of people being prayed for without anyone knowing. Then secretly investigate the fates of these people.

of course it might be because god doesn't exist.
