Why is selling Etuhu considered 'good business'?

If he continues to improve who knows, he could be worth several million in a couple of seasons so how can you judge what is and isn't good business. If you want 'good business' then lets sell the ground and build flats, that'll make a good return. I wouldn't mind if the 1.5 million was used to purchase a better player but it won't so as a consequence it makes us a weaker team.
