Short report from yesterday....

First half:

Dave Striker looked clumsy and tripped over a lot. Missed two sitters by trying to over-play it.

I saw a tree. Beer was cheap. Huckerby looked bored and/or pissed off.

3-5-2 looked more like 5-3-2 to be honest. Spent most of the time passing it around in defence.

Fozzy seemed extremely lively - I do like the look of him. Semi was fantastic and can not only surge forward, but also pass AND dribble.

Despite Waghorn missing it (I didn't see him there - did he actually go ?!), Doc also missed a sitter (header) which he tried to steer instead of put away.

Second half:

More entertaining. Hughes was absolutely awful in open play yet I could not believe the way he was talking to team-mates - within 2 minutes muttering "f**k off, f**king moron" to either Chadwick or Fozzy (not sure which as they were in the same area). The amount of arrogance for such a s**t player is incredible.

I must admit I was pleasantly surprised by Brown. Despite the whole group behind our goal singing "we've seen your video" and about 3 other songs which basically said the same, every time Brown came near, he did a good job linking play and holding up the ball, even nicking it off the keeper once. His goal was close-range after good work from Cureton I believe. Finally, after about 350+ minutes of watching Norwich City, my wife had seen us score a goal.

Second goal was an easy finish for Cureton but he was in the right place at the right time which is always a good sign for a striker. Cureton STILL has a lot of pace for his age, believe me!

Dion played 90 minutes in very warm weather. Surprised at that.

Shackell screamed his head off frequently including "We're meant to f**king hold the ball, not hoof!!!" to Hooze at one point. Lappin had a few defensive lapses but not as many as Hooze. Smith didn't do much and Spillane looked quite handy as one of a back three toward the end.
