it's quite difficult to get blue nun or thunderbird over here

and spumanti is quite pricey over here too. Your best bet is to go straight to the supermarket on arrival and buy one of those boxes of wine with a tap. I find you can fill it up with the wine that you get in plastic bottles at the supermarket. Mix red and white together and it's what they call rusé over here.

You'll want to bring some english bread too - they make their loaves too thin over here, so you can only get one fish finger in a sandwich.
