I'm not the moral voice of anything, let alone this board. It's just that I am really opposed to the casual use of really oppressive, foul words. We should just try to wipe them out of the language, we really should. I'm not going to compromise about it; we just shouldn't do it. You and I are of any age when we can remember when it was acceptable to call people racial epithets quite casually. But those days have gone, and that's great news. We should make it part of the past, not part of the present.
I don't mean calling people c**ts. That's mere vulgar abuse, and none the worse for it as long as not in mixed company or before infants.
Nor do I mean pointing out that some dickwad needs to learn some French.
