Probably not, but it's not in the "blush look away don't believe he said " category. Yet.

There probably will come a time when people will look back at the way lots of people now casually say "poofs", "queers" etc in the way that we look back at landladies who put up notices saying "no blacks, no Irish"

One of the things that you often pick up on, Steve, and rightly so, is the weird views of some Christians about homosexuality being sinful. But my gay friends tell me that people casually saying "poof" or "bender" in ordinary conversation is just as hurtful to them, and happens an awful lot more. So for consistency, you could try cutting it out!
