I have some connection with the ICC. TV rights for the world cup etc always centre around India. Often they might sell the direct rights to an Indian media company that then sell on for broadcasting in other countries. This years TV rights (for the world cup) were not actually finalised until a couple of weeks before the tournament started. I was with an ICC official at the time.
