and is a ridiculous suggestion.

do you not think that if the player's agent wanted to get his player a new club that he'd tout the fact himself to other clubs that the player had a release contract. any agent worth his salt would haev networks of contacts at every prominent club in the country.

The fact that doncaster mentioned this in the press is completely irrelevant.
