This Ridiculous Lee Bowyer Rumour

Where did it originate?

It has to be the most unbelievable rumour surrounding our club since there was a posse of postings on the old "Unofficial" board, shortly before Rioch/Hamilton arrived saying Ruud Gullit had been seen at Colney/eating a late night dinner with Delia and Michael etc etc...

...as crazy as that was, we all tried to find reason in it, "...he wants to be out of the limelight...", "...coaching at a club with a great youth system appeals to him...", "...we will get lots of kids from Holland...", "...he's close to home...", "...Delia and Michael will help pay his wages..." etc etc!!!

Now Lee Bowyer! Come ON, where did this start? Football Rumours? Wikipedia?

Where do I start? Oh yes-"...he worked with Grant at West Ham...", "...he wants to build his career up again out of the limelight...", "...he needs to escape big City life...", "...he was mates with Hucks at Leeds..." etc etc (!)

Yea, right!

He was on £40'000 a week when he was at Leeds for starters...

Can this one go to bed now, as entertaining as it has been!
