actually most of the promotion season Hucks played as a striker

we only started playing him with 2 other strikers towards the end of the season when we were mainly playing against the bottom-half teams (of the 3 games we played against decent teams in the 4-3-3 formation we lost 2).

So even then we knew it wasn't up to scratch against better teams. We tried to play 4-4-2 with Hucks up front at the start of the Prem season but Hucks didn't score enough goals so we had to switch back to the 4-3-3 and bring in another striker. That spookily was the point at which our defence went to pot that season.
