£1.5 million for Dickson?

I would say thats good deal.

IMHO one of the key problems for us last year was not the lack of a right back, not various 'rent-a-goalies, not Earnies injury and not the fact Croft is a fatty. One of the key problems was that in too many games our central midfield lost the battle in the middle of the park, convincingly!

I feel that Safri and Etuhu were equally responsible for this failing.

Don't get me wrong, on their day Saf and Dickson could be the best in the division, but so often this was not the case.

So we have lost Dickson, but that in itself does not worry me, as long as he is replaced with another central midfielder. That done will give us ANOther,Brellier,Safri,Fotheringham,Spillane/Jarvis.

This season is about building a new team with a new mentality. If this means continuing to shift out Worthy's buy's and replacing them with Grant's new breed then so be it. And this includes Safri IF that's what happens.

I want players at this club that want to play for NCFC - Earnie and Etuhu clearly did not as they forced the clubs hand.

Grant has a fantastic opportunity to build his own team - I hope he takes it!
