If they spend they are financially reckless and if they don't they are not ambitious

Well that depends how they spend doesn't it? It appears at the moment that there has been no reckless spending this summer, since we have spent money on players who are either known to the management or who have been thoroughly researched and who fill gaps in the squad to make it more balanced. Previously the board have spent money on players whom management have never even seen, who provide un-needed cover where we already had it whilst leaving huge gaps elsewhere, and, in one case at least, lacked the basic fitness to function at Championship level. Difficult to see that as anything other than reckless.
