Recent sales of players points out shortcomings in our youth system. Ideally you want a young player good enough to be challenging an established player so if you have to sell you have a ready made replacement. Critical for a club like ourselves that are constantly selling. Unfortunately our youth program has been a shambles since Chase left. To me this has been the Smiths major gaffe, i.e. understanding that we have to develop our own to survive and thrive. Additionally when was the last time our scouts uncovered an overseas gem. Never? Would start scouting the States. Our under 20s fared very well lately in the WC tournament. Will probably be raked for this but would use some of the Etuhu money for a Director of Football position. Think there is some real infrastructure problems at Carrow and questionable vision.
