Who benefits most from a footballer's contract?

In order
1. The player - the best wages he can negotiate, along with the easiest exit should a better offer come along.
2. Agents - money for old rope
3. The club.
Thus it is that the club will always hold the s**tty end of the stick and the player holds the aces. It is the same for all clubs in our position (basically a selling club with limited ambition other than to survive in this league) and it is unlikely to change. Get used to it.
