rather suspect the deal was agreed before the loan spell

we just couldn't reveal it for obvious reasons.

And the release clause was for 2.5 times the purchase price (the equivalent of Earnie's being for £7.5m). Which seems pretty reasonable to me. At what point in his career here (until yesterday) has anyone on here suggested he was worth anything like £1.5m?
