Huckerby is right when he says who will we get to replace Etuhu for the £1.5m we are reported to be getting for him from Sunderland. The answer, not a lot unless Grant has another East European gem up his sleeve. When Hucks comes out and publicly makes his feeling about the issue known you know there are problems.

I think the club needs to take a long hard look at how it conducts its transfer negotiations with players in future. When Etuhu came here he was a pretty marginalised figure at Preston in much the same way Earnshaw was at WBA. We need to be a bit more hard nosed.

My main concern is what Grant must be thinking. He is a man with ambitions that are not being matched by the club.
