But, you're right: we're under threat until we cede to their demands. Spain was attacked for supporting the war (although the population opposed it by a large majority) and is no longer threatened as they have withdrawn from Iraq.

The UK should, of course, never give in because of the terrorist threat; but we should consider whether our we are doing the right things in the Middle East. While we're at war there; they'll be at war with us.
