Who are you comparing us with when you suggest the players are not up to standard? Arsenal? It's tempting to compare us with the wrong standard when we see so much more of the better quality.

It's going to be an interesting season. I'm guardedly optimistic, which is the best option amid such wholesale change. If they mesh (thanks blindasabat) quickly it'll be fine, but if the parts are greater than the sum then yes, we may well be mediocre.

Most squads are average throughout - count your blessings we do have the odd bit of quality.
