- not signing a proper right midfielder, at any point
- wasting Helveg
- not playing Safri enough
- not trying Jonson up front earlier in the season when we couldn't score for love or money
- referees
- inept command of substitutions
- inability to play well in the first half of games
- signing too many players who were either panic buys (Doherty), signed for a promotion campaign (Charlton) or just inexplicable (Stuart)
