Sorry coming to this a bit late. On the one hand, you can't really whinge about London-centric media stereotyping scousers, then phone London centric media and threaten presenters, while nevertheless paying lip service to 'it's a game of opinions' philosophy, without looking like a prick.

On the other hand good on ya for confronting the pathetic rhetorical machismo of footie talk radio, revealing it for the time-filling garbage that it is.

Also, I was rather persuaded by his 'why is anyone bothered?" argument.

But announcing your retirement when you aren't being picked is a little silly
