These issues are so serious that they deserve a deeper discussion that your links offer.
The last few years have seen Churches and other agencies tighten up their child and vulnerable person protection policies and practices and have beefed up the accountability system.
I have worked with children who have been abused by a range of people, some allegedly christian (though in my opinion they are not people of faith if they behave that way) and some abused by teachers and worryingly many by family members or trusted friends from a variety of backgrounds.
