In January 2006 he signed Robinson - who was really well-suited to a 5-man midfield. Which meant we needed someone to play as lone striker. But we already knew we were already selling the one player who could do that. And then he brought in Earnshaw who can not play that role. Which is, of course, why he dropped him for the supposed "must win" game at Burnley.
