other clubs in for Brellier?

Does anyone know which other clubs were in for Brellier. There are some right idiotic southampton fans i have to work with, who, when i ask how many players they have signed always come back with "yeh but nobody wanted who you have signed". Got one over on them with Cureton because local press down here said Saints were interested at one point. Any ammunition would be great.
