Opinion on Hughes from a Reading fan

Hughes is well thought of amounst the Reading fans but does not boast a great deal of ability. His main attributes are his work rate and determination. He is most effective as a central attacking midfielder, which is where he played when we reached the play-offs two years ago. We played him out wide last season and his crossing is appauling, most usually going out of play. He would be a reasonable signing for you but I would expect him to be a squad player. BTW, Coppell is a huge fan of him because of his relentless work ethic so a sizeable fee would be required.
