Peter Thorne marked his debut for City with two goals as the Canaries cruised to a 6-0 victory over non-league side Dereham Town.
Things did not start as planned for City as in the 4th minute Craig Fleming went down with a broken nose after an aerial challenge with a Dereham striker.
But in the 17th minute City scored their first when a McVeigh free-kick was met by Matt Halliday who headed home.
A minute later Jason Jarrett was brought down in the box and Dean Ashton stepped up to tuck away the penalty low and to the the 'keepers right.
City fielded a completey new eleven for the second-half who continued from where the first-half team left off.
In the 65th minute Robert Eagle's low soft shot, after some good work from Hucks, slipped through the keeper hands to make it three.
Ten minutes later and Hucks was involved again when his corner was flicked on by Jason Shackell, Thorne took a touch and buried it from 7 yards.
In the 88th minute Hucks got on the scoresheet himself when he volleyed to make it 5-0.
Just before the final whistle Thorne got his second and City's sixth with a neat half-volley from 15 yards.

Lets hope flems ok. Don't need injuries further depleting the squad!
