exactly

several times, worthy spunked all his dosh on one player (hucks, ashton, earnie) and ignored the rest of the team (no left back cover, a wealth of crap midfielders). Once (promotion year) it worked, the rest of the time it didn't.

The board obviously wasn't going to give him more to spend, and that was his downfall.

Now grant has to replace a whole team and the board quite rightly is putting up the cash to do so, thus taking ultimate responsibility for the failure of their last appointment.

Not sure what my point is, but i think grant has so far shown he has an eye for a bargain and understands the importance of balance in a team.
