i've noticed

that the lower you go in the division, the more passionate the fans. I've suggested it before, but i would love to see us refuse our place in the prem (once we've secured it). If the other 3 teams did the same and if Gers and Celtic were to join in, the championship could become as important as it should be in English football and the premiership can become some sort of bargain basement of sterile defensive tactics, and overpaid, 'fa cup's crap, we want to get into europe' primadonnas.
