Seeing as a few people (below) are coming clean about Earnie

may I reveal that the day Gittie blew his stack at Snowman, I was about to post almost the same thing Snowie did. I actually did that 'eyes left' thing that people on telly do when they're suddenly put on the spot, and let it go.

Yes he scored lots of goals: but by sweet betty f**k the boy could miss. I remember posting on here after one game to the effect that though Leon wouldn't have had as many shots at (in the general, vague, direction of) goal as earnie, I thought he'd have scored at least one.

IF, and I mean IF, we replace him adequately, I'd say Job Well Done, and Tata Wossname.

I'm not one for Stats sites, and I spent much of the latter parts of last season with my attention elsewhere, so I may be completely wrong - but I have the impression that he scored lots of goals in a losing team which won a few while he was absent but resumed losing on his return.

If I'm wrong, I take that back gladly. It's just how it seemed.
