Make no mistake this 'clause' is (IMHO) incompitence of the highest order.
Total and utter panic buy becuase they knew the wheels had well and truly fallen off after the departure of Ashton.
Not a good deal for the club in any way shap or form. However, with a bit of luck (jamie hitting form and deciding he wants to come back) they might jsut get away with it.
don't get me wrong, i'm 99% of the time argueing against smudger et al but on the earnshaw deal they have a very valid, and very worrying point.
