Techie help needed

Can anyone help with a problem I am having with internet explorer.
For the last week or so, it keeps losing the history, including all the addresses in my address bar every time I switch the computer off. Other users on the computer are fine, and I have checked the history settings are they are ok (set at 10 days).
Hope some can help please as its a pain having to type all my regular addresses in every day.
