At least it's AAC/M4A 128kbps (or 256kbps for EMI)

That's half decent quality - probably OK for an iPod or phone. But you're converting it again into a poorer quality format. That's the madness!

And unless you're picking and choosing your tracks then I can't see the point of paying near CD prices for a tenth (or fifth) of CD quality.
