SoulSeek or a good quality torrent site for "try before you buy" experiences

Can't for the life of me see why people pay almost CD prices for a tenth of the quality. Buy the CD if you really like the music.

iTunes is offering EMI stuff at 256kbps with no DRM; but, again, it's near CD prices.
