that's just it, 'he's got good character' but since

when did 'good character' account for a football player with little skill? We need to get away from this 'good solid hardworker' nothing in any professional sport makes up for a lack of class. Not to say of course that you don't need a player with good skill AND a good character but if you've only got a choice, give me skill. Hughes just isn't good enough, simple end of story and anyone who believes otherwise is deluding themselves.
