I heard a bit on Five Live last year when the fixtures were out

They are a years work , they have to factor in , pairs of teams , police needs , other events ( shrewsbury are never at home first day of the season - because of another event there ) club requiremenst ( Coventry with their new ground etc )

They said they will work on the following season before teh current fixtures are issued
