One of my ancestors, I forget which

fought in the Napoleonic Wars on the French side. Someone in the family has his posthumous medal (which I wanted cos it was coooool/fonkeh/gnarly/this is for mbk's benefit), awarded to him for dying bravely in battle. The family rumour is that he suffocated hiding under a boat on a beach. Can't confirm or deny but it's typical of the sort of thing my family'd say about dam forriners.
