they wouldn't scrap the playoffs if it was only 2 up

it would just be that only the top team went up automatically. Like the Conference. It's also what happened in 95(?) when they were reducing the size of the Prem by 2 (4 down, including us, and only 2 up). rading came 2nd and had to go into the playoffs, where they lost 4-3 to Bolton.
