So Jonson hadn't asked to leave and was taken completely by surprise. Sort it out Worthy!! I really hope for his sake he has some decent replacements already lined up otherwise this summers activity so far coupled with last seasons tactical and selection idiocy he is fast going down in my estimation again.
Norwich striker Mattias Jonson is set to return to Sweden to join Djurgardens.
The Swedish league leaders have agreed an undisclosed fee for the 31-year-old and he is expected to undergo a medical later this week.
Djurgardens have offered the Swedish international a three-and-a-half year deal to lure the player back to his homeland and he admitted he was surprised at the speed of the developments.
"It actually comes as news that the clubs have reached an agreement," Jonson told Sportbladet.
"I have always been expecting to stay at Norwich. Actually I am still assuming that I will stay, since I have hardly talked to Djurgardens.
"They are the hottest club right now and it is flattering that they are interested in me.
"There has been much interest around Allsvenskan the last few years and it has always been my intention to finish my career in Allsvenskan."
Norwich are reported to be lining up a move for Esbjerg ace Fredrik Berglund.
The highly-rated striker saw a move to Malmo fall through recently and this has alerted Norwich to his possible availability.
